Paint & Play is all about experimenting, trying new mediums and getting wonderfully messy, not about creating the perfect artwork. There's no right or wrong way to create here, and that goes for every age and every ability.
How it all began
Paint & Play is run by Elizabeth, a mixed media artist based in Echuca. She found her way to art during the hardest time of her life, after losing her daughter Everleigh in 2023. Art became her escape, her therapy, and slowly, a way to find herself again.
Somewhere along the way, she realised life is too short to stay in work that doesn't light you up. So she took the leap and created Paint & Play, a space where kids and adults can create without the pressure of getting it right. Just play, explore and enjoy the process.
These days her youngest, Daisy, gets to grow up right alongside it all, surrounded by messy play, art and other kids.
